Ambassador Sydykov visits Syrdarya and Tashkent regions of Uzbekistan

Bishkek, Feb.21, 2018 / Kabar /. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan Daniyar Sydykov visited Syrdarya and Tashkent regions of Uzbekistan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meeting with Hokim of Syrdarya region Hofirjon Mirzaev and ethnic Kyrgyz, the prospects of development of cooperation between the regions of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan were discussed. In light of this, the Uzbek side was informed that the year 2018 in Kyrgyzstan was declared as the Year of Regional Development. Sydykov also congratulated the participants of the meeting on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and stressed that this year marks the anniversary of modern relations between the two countries, since in fact, the friendship between our people is estimated for centuries. The Ambassador invited the Uzbek partners to take an active part in Days of Culture and Art of Kyrgyzstan and to celebrate the 90th anniversary of Chyngyz Aitmatov in Uzbekistan. The Uzbek side is also invited to the Third World Nomad Games that will be held in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.

On the same day, Sydykov accompanied by the Deputy Hokim of the Tashkent region E. Kasymov and the Hokim of the Parkent district of this region, visited secondary school No. 33. The school is with in-depth study of the Kyrgyz language. The Ambassador met with the Head of the school, teachers, students and ethnic Kyrgyz and elders of the region. On the occasion of the Ambassador’s visit, the students of the school prepared a concert. Kyrgyz national dance Kara Jorgo was also performed by the students.

The Ambassador donated collections of poems by Kyrgyz writers, Alykul Osmonov and Aaly Tokombayev to the library of the secondary school No. 33 and the Kyrgyz Cultural Center of the Syrdarya region.
