Bishkek, Nov. 16, 2017 /Kabar/. President of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev signed the law on the denunciation of the agreement and protocols on assistance of Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of $ 100 million, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.
"President Atambayev signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Denunciation (Termination) of the Agreement between the Government of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan on the Development of Economic Cooperation in the Conditions of Eurasian Economic Integration, the Protocol between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic (KR) and the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK) on the Procedure for Granting Assistance and Control over its Use, the Protocol between the Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic and RK on technical assistance signed on December 26, 2016 in St. Petersburg, the Protocol between the governments of the KR and RK on introducing amendments and additions to the Protocol between the Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan on the procedure for providing assistance and control over its use of December 26, 2016 and the Protocol between the governments of the KR and RK on amending the Protocol between the governments of the KR and RK on technical assistance dated December 26, 2016, signed on March 17, 2017 in Moscow,” the report said.
The law was adopted by the Kyrgyz Parliament on November 9, 2017 and comes into force on the day of its official publication. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed in due course to notify the Government of Kazakhstan of the denunciation (termination) of the Agreement and the protocols.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan officially notified Astana on the beginning of procedures for the denunciation of the agreement.
Recall that the agreement and protocols to him on providing assistance by Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan in the amount of $ 100 million for the implementation of the road map for the accession of the republic to the Eurasian Economic Union was signed on December 26, 2016 in St. Petersburg. The money was planned to be transferred in stages, and the amount of the first tranche was $ 41 million.
