Bishkek, Nov. 8, 2017. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev today, November 8, received chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the country, Raimberdi Duishenbiev, the Kyrgyz President's press service reported.
During the meeting, the head of state was informed about the ongoing work to strengthen the defense capacity, further development of the country's Armed Forces and the implementation of a set of measures aimed at improving the technical equipment and social security of servicemen.
Duishenbiev also reported on the ongoing work to develop the border infrastructure and increase the combat readiness of the units. In particular, he reported on the completion of the construction of two apartment buildings for the servicemen of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the preparations for the opening of the Minbulak outpost in Batken region.
During the meeting, President Atambayev gave a number of instructions on strengthening external borders and strengthening the state's defense capability.
