Kyrgyzstan sets date of Third World Nomad Games

Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2018 / Kabar /. The date of the beginning of the Third World Nomad Games (TWNG) has been set in Kyrgyzstan. The opening ceremony will take place on Sept. 2, 2018 at the hippodrome of Cholpon-Ata town in Issyk-Kul oblast, the press service of the Government reported.

Sports competitions of the TWNG will be held in 36 national sports, where about 3000 athletes from 80 countries of the world are expected to take part. About 500 media representatives from 50 countries will be invited to cover the event.

Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov gave an official start to preparations for the organization and holding of the TWNG back in Dec.15, 2017.

The Head of Government emphasized that the nomadic culture and civilization is one of the oldest in the world and every year it is gaining an increasing popularity among the younger generation.

Isakov added that the scale of the TWNG demonstrates the growing interest in the event from participating countries, and it will also contribute to raising the attractiveness among tourists and increase the level of trust towards our republic.
