Bishkek, Nov. 13, 2017 /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov received chairman of the US-Kyrgyz Business Council Thomas Firestone, the press service of the Kyrgyz Government reported.
The Prime Minister thanked Thomas Firestone for organizing the Kyrgyz-American business forums that took place in March 2016 in the USA and in July 2017 in Kyrgyzstan. He also noted the high level of organization of the meeting of Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev with the founders of the US-Kyrgyz business council in September 2017.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the issues of planning and organizing joint events. Isakov said that the priority task of the Government is the effective implementation of the program "40 steps to the new era”, as well as the promotion of high-tech projects on digital transformation and the construction of an open and transparent state within the framework of the Taza Koom program. In this regard, the Prime Minister noted the importance of developing cooperation in the fields of energy and information technologies, and attracting American investors in these areas.
The sides agreed that an important stage in the development of bilateral relations is the establishment of contacts between Kyrgyz and American businessmen.
Firestone, in turn, congratulated Kyrgyzstan on the conducting of presidential elections and noted the high technological level of their conduct. "The elections demonstrated to all that democratic, open and transparent elections were held in Kyrgyzstan, and the US-Kyrgyz Business Council makes every effort to inform the US investors about the benefits of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan."
Also, the chairman of the US-Kyrgyz Business Council expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
