Parliament speaker meets with Ambassador of Azerbaijan

Bishkek, Dec. 5, 2017 / Kabar /. Today Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Dastanbek Zhumabekov met with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan Gidayat Orujov, the parliament's press service reported.

During the meeting, the speaker stressed the good dynamics of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani cooperation at all levels, which contributes to the expansion of bilateral relations and the solution of many issues in the priority areas of partnership.

"The Kyrgyz side is pleased to accept the parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan led by the Chairman of Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Otay Asado. Mr. Asado will participate in the plenary session of the TurkPA on Dec. 8 this year in Bishkek," the speaker said.

The Kyrgyz Speaker also stressed that in order to expand economic cooperation, appropriate efforts are needed to intensify cooperation between business entities and entrepreneurs of two countries. "Our country is ready for cooperation in the sphere of increasing investment between our countries. Kyrgyzstan provides a fair, equal legal regime, full and permanent protection, as well as guarantees to foreign investors," he stressed.

Mr. Orujov also thanked the speaker for the opportunity to meet with him, “Azerbaijan also pays a great attention to further development of relations with the Kyrgyz side and is ready to expand ties on the whole range of issues on the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation”, he said.

At the end of the meeting, the sides stressed the need to deepen ties in the field of education, culture, art, and economics and in a number of other areas of mutual interest.
