Police officers trained to provide first aid in Issyk-Kul region

Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2017. / Kabar/. Patrol police officers are trained of rendering the first qualified medical aid in Issyk-Kul region, head of Issyk Kul Department of Internal Affairs’s press service Stalbek Usubakunov told.

The training is conducted by experts of the International Committee of the Red Crescent within the framework of the agreement with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

It is the patrol officers who need to have skills of providing first aid since they often deal with victims during road accidents, Usubakunov said.

The Red Crescent experts train the patrol officers on primary examination of a victim, restorative position, spine trauma, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, bleeding, burns, transportation of a person who is unconscious. After the training, the police will be tested.

The Issyk Kul Department of Internal Affairs’s reported on the increase in death rate as a result of traffic accidents, in some cases, fatal outcomes occur till the ambulance arrive. Therefore, the purpose of this event is to reduce the number of mortality on the roads of the region.

Such trainings to be conducted in all areas of Kyrgyzstan.
