Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2017. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov today awarded the American University of Central Asia (AUCA) the Dostuk Order, the government press service reported. The head of government specified that ex president of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Atambayev, by his decree from August 30, 2017 signed this high state award to AUCA for its special contribution to the development of the country's social, economic, spiritual and intellectual potential. The university also deserved the award for its hard working teachers, students, and for its whole team in general.
The Prime Minister in his welcoming speech expressed his confidence that the faculty and students of the university will continue working for the good of the country, developing science and training highly qualified personnel. "Many AUCA graduates work in public and governmental sector, in large companies and abroad. We can talk about the university's achievements for a long time. Each graduate of this university is a competitive and well-prepared staff, as I myself was convinced, since today AUCA graduates work in our team," said Isakov.
The head of government also mentioned that one of the priorities of the governmental program Forty Steps to a New Era is the development of the national education system.
"Dear students, you must be sure that only through diligent study and use of all opportunities for education you can become good professionals who are passionately working, overcoming life difficulties with courage and contributing to the development of the country. Now your parents and teachers are proud of you, and after your graduation the whole country should be proud of you," Isakov said.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Dostuk Order symbolizes friendship between the nations, and the AUCA itself is a bridge of friendship between the Central Asian countries and the United States. The head of the government specified that thanks to the volunteer movement of the university, employees of the State Border Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, who work at international airports of the country have completed English language courses. In this regard, Prime Minister Sapar Isakov handed out letters of appreciation to several AUCA students and wished them further success in their studies.
