Bishkek, Nov. 22, 2017 / Kabar/. The Kyrgyz Parliament will hold a government hour in December on the growing number of road accidents in the country. This became known today at a meeting of the Parliament.
Kyrgyz parliamentarians said that recently accidents on the roads have become frequent. The relevant committee of the Parliament considered this issue and sent it to include into the agenda of the session from December 15 to 20.
The government hour will be fully devoted to road accidents.
According to the latest official data, more than 5 thousand 200 road accidents have occurred in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year, where about 700 people were killed and over 7,360 injured.
The main causes of accidents is speeding - 33.8% of the total number of cases, 20% - due to violation of maneuvering rules, 14.4% - passing to contraflow lane and violation of overtaking rules and 8.6% - driving drunk.
