Bishkek, Dec.1, 2017. /Kabar/. Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Cholpon Sultanbekova today met with representatives of the Small and Great Pamirs who came to Kyrgyzstan to visit their relatives, the Government press service reported.
Sultanbekova stressed the issue of passportization at the meeting. She noted that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is negotiating with the Government of Afghanistan in order to solve the issue related to passport.
This is the second delegation of Pamir Kyrgyz, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan. They came here to visit their relatives and see how they live. Memorandum on cooperation between the State Service for Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the administration of Badakhshan province of Afghanistan was signed earlier. This agreement allows Pamir Kyrgyz to send their children to study in Kyrgyzstan. At the moment they were settled in Naryn oblast.
"The children of Pamir Kyrgyz have already started receiving knowledge and socializing. The first Pamir Kyrgyz was already born in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan has developed a special training plan for them, "Sultanbekova said.
In mid-October 2017, 33 ethnic Kyrgyz from the Small and Great Pamirs arrived in Kyrgyzstan. They all settled in Naryn region.
