Bishkek, Mar. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz national wrestling team in won 12 medals at the Asian Championship in Mongolia, the website of the United World Wrestling wrote.
The tournament was held in the city of Ulaanbaatar from 21 to 24 March.
Greco-Roman style Russian wrestlers won eight medals, which allowed them to take the second place in the team competition. Sardarbek Konushbaev (55 kg), Jolaman Sharshenbekov (60 kg), Renat Il'yaz uulu (77 kg), Roman Kim (130 kg) became champions.
Silver awards went to Elmar Talantbek uulu (63 kg), Kalidin Asykeev (87 kg). The bronze medals were won by Amantur Ismailov (67 kg) and Bek Konurbayev (72 kg).
In free-style wrestling, Ulukbek Joldoshbekov became the winner in the weight category up to 61 kg. Bekbolot Myrzanazar uulu took the second place (57 kg), Atay Izabekov – the third (79 kg).
Among the girls, the only medal was won by Nuraida Anarkulov, winning the silver medal of the championship.
