Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2021 . / Kabar / . Aisuluu Tynybekova from Kyrgyzstan has become an owner of silver medal at Tokyo Olympics.
The national athlete performed in freestyle wrestling in the weight category up to 62kg.
Tynybekova lost with 3:4 to Japan's Yukaki Kawai in the hardest final bout.
The Japanese wrestler was technically prepared against Tynbekova's crowning hold and only once, at the very end of the fight, gave Tynbekova the opportunity to grab her legs. This gave to the Kyrgyzstani the opportunity to earn two points, which were not enough to win.
Before this fight, Aisuluu Tynybekova had not lost a single point in all her fights. Nevertheless, Aisuluu Tynybekova entered the history of sports of independent Kyrgyzstan by winning a silver medal for the first time among women. Earlier, Meerim Zhumanazarova won in the fight for the third place in the weight category up to 67 kg against a Mongolian athlete, and also for the first time in the history of Kyrgyzstan she brought a bronze medal in women's wrestling.
Thus,Kyrgyz wrestlers won three medals - two silver and one bronze. Greco-Roman wrestler Akzhol Makhmudov (up to 68kg) won another silver medal for Kyrgyzstan. He lost his final bout to Hungary's Lorincz.
