Construction of three stadiums to begin in Batken Oblast

Bishkek, Jan. 28, 2025. /Kabar/. Construction of three stadiums will begin in Batken Oblast this year, the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFU) reported.

KFU Secretary General Mederbek Sydykov and KFU Presidential Advisor Amanbek Kaskerimov visited Batken Oblast and met with recently appointed governor Aibek Shamenov, who also became the president of the regional football association.

During the visit, KFU representatives held working meetings with the mayors of Batken, Kyzyl-Kiya, Razzakov and specialists associated with the construction of stadiums, discussing schedules, financing and monitoring the implementation of projects.

This year, the construction and reconstruction of about 20 football facilities across the country is planned, including three stadiums in Batken Oblast.

A meeting was also held with coaches of local football clubs, where preparations for the 2025 season, new competition formats and plans for preparing clubs to participate in the Premier League in 2026 were discussed.
