Food prices in Kyrgyzstan are lower than in Kazakhstan and Russia

Bishkek, Jan.24, 2025. /Kabar/. Monitoring of comparative prices for food products in Kyrgyzstan and foreign countries such as Russia and Kazakhstan was conducted.

Monitoring was conducted among products - bread products, potatoes, vegetables and melons, fruits and berries, meat, milk, sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, etc., the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the republic said.

As a result, it was found that prices for food products in comparable cities in Kyrgyzstan are 7.1% lower than market prices in neighboring Kazakhstan and 8.7% lower than in Russia.

In addition, compared to last week, food prices in Kyrgyzstan increased by 0.16%, and food prices in Kazakhstan and Russia grew by 0.7%.

In Bishkek, the price of sugar decreased by KGS 5, and the price of rice and potatoes went up from KGS 1 to 5.

In Kazakhstan’s Aktobe, prices for pasteurized milk and potatoes rose to KGS 2.

In addition, a decrease in prices for pasteurized milk by KGS 1, for potatoes by KGS 2 was observed in Tyumen Region of Russia.
