Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibrayev made a working visit to Kazakhstan, the ministry said.
During the visit, the minister held a meeting with the founder of the largest transformer manufacturing group of companies in Central Asia, Alageum Electric, Saidulla Kozhabaev.
The main goal of the bilateral meeting was to develop cooperation between the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy and the Alageum Electric group of companies.
During the negotiations, the issue of opening a branch of the plant in Kyrgyzstan, the production of transformers and their subsequent sale at more affordable prices was discussed.
The founder of the Alageum Electric Group of Companies confirmed his readiness for cooperation and the construction of a plant in Kyrgyzstan. In case of successful implementation of the planned activities, construction work may begin this year.
In order to deepen cooperation, the Ministry of Energy and the Alageum Electric Group of Companies signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
In addition, as part of the working visit, the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Ibrayev met with Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kentau Transformer Plant JSC Sergazy Kuntuarov and Chairman of the Asia Trafo plant Ruslan Tokmurzin.
During the visit, the minister got acquainted with the transformer production process, inspected the plant's facilities and received information about the quality and characteristics of the products. Negotiations were also held on further cooperation in the energy sector.
Cooperation with the said plant will allow modernizing the equipment of the energy sector, the report said.
