Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko during a working visit to Kazakhstan.
The meeting took place within the framework of the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty.
Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that friendly relations have developed between the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, built on a common historical memory and the desire for mutual support. He conveyed congratulations and best wishes on behalf of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov to the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in connection with the successful holding of the presidential elections in the country.
"We cooperate in almost all areas, trade turnover is growing. Nevertheless, we have untapped potential in trade, industrial cooperation, agriculture and transport and logistics. In this direction, I believe that we could implement specific bilateral projects,” he said.
Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko noted the readiness to further strengthen cooperation in various areas and invited the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev to pay an official visit to Belarus. He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is a reliable and significant partner of Belarus in the trade and economic sphere, adding that there is good dynamics in the implementation of joint projects.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-Belarusian cooperation, including the development of trade and economic ties, investment partnership and industrial cooperation. Particular attention was paid to interaction in the agricultural sector. The parties also noted the importance of bringing the volume of mutual trade turnover to 500 million US dollars in the next 5 years.
