Kyrgyz deputy FM stresses importance of co-op with EU

Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2025 . / Kabar / . Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Meder Abakirov met with Head of the European Union Delegation to Kyrgyzstan Ambassador Marilyn Josefson.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union, as well as plans to implement joint activities in the near future.

Meder Abakirov emphasized the importance of cooperation with the European Union, noting the readiness of the Kyrgyz Republic to develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

In turn, Marilyn Josefson expressed confidence in further strengthening of interaction, noting the important role of the Kyrgyz Republic in the relations of the European Union with the Central Asian region.

The parties agreed to continue active dialog and implement initiatives aimed at prosperity and development of the region.
