Kyrgyzstan considers Hungary important partner

Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2025. /Kabar/. First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Daniar Amangeldiev received on Tuesday Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan Sandor Dorogi.

The Cabinet of Ministers reported that during the meeting the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations.

Daniar Amangeldiev expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Kyrgyz-Hungarian cooperation, noting the regular political dialogue and fruitful interaction at various levels. As an important step towards expanding the strategic partnership, he emphasized the successful official visit of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Kyrgyzstan on November 5, 2024.

The parties especially noted the importance of strengthening trade and economic ties between the two countries. They discussed holding the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, scheduled for 2025 in Budapest. Daniar Amangeldiev emphasized the mutual benefits of cooperation, noting that Kyrgyzstan views Hungary as an important partner in the European direction.

Ambassador Sandor Dorogi confirmed Hungary's readiness to further expand cooperation, emphasizing interest in developing specific projects in agriculture and tourism. The parties also discussed issues of cultural exchange, cooperation in education, opportunities for Kyrgyz students and specialists in Hungary, as well as other promising areas of cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, Daniar Amangeldiev and Sandor Dorogi confirmed their mutual readiness to further develop and strengthen Kyrgyz-Hungarian relations in the spirit of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
