Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov signed the Decree onconstruction of an environmentally friendly city – Kemin city, his press service said.
The environmentally friendly city will be built in Kemin region of Chui Oblast.
The Decree notes that providing housing to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic is one of the important areas of the country's socio-economic development. The solution to this problem has a positive impact on the well-being of the population, helps reduce external and internal migration, creates conditions for retaining qualified personnel in the field, and reduces the level of social tension in the regions.
By the Decree, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic is instructed to develop and approve the concept for the construction of an environmentally friendly city, Kemin City by June 1, 2025, hold negotiations with investors and sign the relevant investment agreement on the implementation of the investment project.
Earlier, Sadyr Zhaparov said that the city will be designed for 80 thousand families.
