Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2025 /Kabar/. Construction of the National Center for Aquaculture and Fisheries Development of the Kyrgyz Republic is underway in Bokonbaevo village of Issyk-Kul.
The Ministry of Agriculture said that at this stage, employees of the state enterprise "Ton Fish Hatchery" are working to provide additional water supply for the incubation workshop, namely, a well was drilled at a depth of 180 meters and pumping equipment and water purification systems were installed.
The project is being implemented on the basis of the memorandum on interaction between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Korean Marine Institute signed on October 22, 2022 The implementation period is from October 2022 to December 2026.
It is planned to build, reconstruct and technically equip infrastructure facilities (incubation workshops, laboratories, residential premises, a canteen, etc.) with the necessary equipment. The center will teach fish farming technologies to farmers, students, teachers and researchers.
