PMs of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discuss bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, Jan. 30, 2025. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov during his working visit to Kazakhstan.

The meeting took place within the framework of the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed gratitude for the hospitality and warm welcome.

He conveyed warm words of greeting on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

"Kazakhstan is our good neighbor, brotherly state and one of the main trading partners. In 2024, a number of important events took place in Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations in all areas of interstate interaction. Bilateral relations have reached a new stage of development. I am confident that we will continue to make joint efforts to implement existing agreements and achieve new results in the development of Kyrgyz-Kazakh relations,” said Adylbek Kasymaliev.

Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov congratulated him on his appointment as Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and wished him further success in this responsible government position. Olzhas Bektenov invited him to visit the Republic of Kazakhstan in the near future and expressed his commitment to further strengthening Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations, strategic partnership and alliance.

The parties discussed the progress in implementing the agreements reached at the highest level, including during the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov to Kazakhstan on April 18-19, 2024.

The heads of government of the two countries mutually emphasized the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation and confirmed their readiness to jointly implement joint initiatives aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, transport and energy spheres.
