On January 23, the second meeting of the National Intersectoral Coordination Committee of Turkmenistan was held at the Yyldyz Hotel. Representatives of the State Veterinary Service and the Ministry of Health discussed the strategy for implementing the One Health approach, the State Veterinary Service reported to Turkmenportal.
Arslan Soltanmyradov, the National Coordinator from the Veterinary Service, presented progress in the prevention of zoonoses and the development of intersectoral cooperation. The committee aims to create mechanisms for coordinating and monitoring activities in the field of human, animal and ecosystem health.
The key tasks of the committee include developing public policy and strengthening the national system for the One Health approach.
