Bishkek, Feb. 3, 2025 /Kabar/. Young star of Kyrgyz tennis Saara Myzaeva won the international tournament of the Asian Tennis Federation among juniors under 14 years old.
The Bishkek Mayor's Office reported that the tournament was held on January 13 - 23 in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
The competition was attended by 32 athletes from 13 countries, including Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, the UAE and Yemen.
Kyrgyzstan was represented at the tournament by three young tennis players.
The young tennis player showed an impressive game and confidence on the court, which allowed her to win a gold medal in the individual competition among girls under 14 years old. But Saara didn't stop there - together with her partner, she also won the doubles event, becoming the absolute champion of the tournament.
This triumph was a real breakthrough for Kyrgyz tennis and a shining example for all young athletes in the country, the statement said.
In addition, the tournament served as a qualifying round for the ITF Asian Championship, which made it even more significant for the participants.
