The opening ceremony of the 12th International Cultural Tourism Festival "Pamir of the World - Eternal Manas" was held in the Kyzyl-Suu-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region of China on July 13. The Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
According to the ministry, Nurbek Talantbekov, Director of the Kyrgyz National Theater "Manas," participated in the event.
The festival focused on the preservation, popularization, and international promotion of the Manas epic, as well as the development of cultural tourism. The parties signed a number of agreements aimed at strengthening strategic cooperation in culture and tourism. In addition, the official presentation of the Manas Media mobile app (APP) and new cultural projects dedicated to the Manas epic took place.
According to the organizers, over 15,000 people attended the opening ceremony. The event was broadcast live on over 40 media platforms, reaching a total audience of 21.7 million viewers.
The festival will run until July 20. Its program includes an international forum dedicated to the preservation and development of the Manas epic, cultural heritage exhibitions, concert programs, and ethnocultural events.
