In 2025, 1.7 billion soms were allocated for the development of Kyrgyzstan's irrigation system, Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry told during a national meeting at Yntymak Ordo.
According to him, design work is currently underway at 41 sites, and construction is underway at 33 others.
“Construction and restoration work is also underway at 10 sites, and design work is underway at 24 sites,” he noted.
