Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2026 /Kabar/. On 16 September 2026, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), delivered a keynote speech at the 2nd International Conference of Leading National Analytical Centers of the OTS.
Ambassador Omuraliev emphasized that the conference is becoming a sustainable platform for regular consultation, joint research, and evidence-based policymaking across the Turkic World. The Secretary General noted the Turkic States’ significant collective economic potential, citing end-2025 figures showing combined GDP exceeding $2.4 trillion, trade turnover of approximately $1.27 trillion, and a population of more than 180 million across OTS Member States and Observers.
The Secretary General underscored the role of analytical centers, universities and research institutions in supporting regional integration through joint research, data sharing, policy analysis and practical recommendations. He stressed the importance of making regional trade easier, supporting investment and business cooperation, as well as working together on clean energy and climate-related challenges.
The conference program brought together policymakers, researchers, think tanks and experts for discussions on the Middle Corridor, trade and economic relations among Turkic States, innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and sustainable development.
