3rd CIS Games: Kyrgyz wrestlers won 1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2025. /Kabar/. On October 4, the freestyle wrestling and women's wrestling competitions within the framework of the III CIS Games in Ganja, Azerbaijan concluded. According to the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports, the matches were held at the Olympic Sports Complex of the city. Total of six wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan competed.

In women's wrestling:

– In the weight category up to 65 kg, Ayana Asamalikova won the final and won the gold medal. She became the first champion of Kyrgyzstan in this tournament.

– In the weight category of 57 kg, Sezim Zholdoshbekova took second place and won the silver medal.

In freestyle wrestling:

– In the weight category of 55 kg, Rinat Soltoev won the silver medal.

– In the weight category of 48 kg, Adil Karypbekov won the bronze medal.

It should be noted that the 3rd Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Games, which began in Azerbaijan on September 28, will conclude on October 8. Total of 1,624 athletes from 13 countries are competing in the III CIS Games. First CIS Games were held in Kazan, Tatarstan, while the second CIS Games were organized in Belarus.
