Bishkek, Aug 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's healthcare ministry is consistently working to ensure the quality of medical care, the transparent and efficient use of budget funds, and compliance with legal requirements.
Currently, the public hemodialysis program is one of the largest social programs in the healthcare system. 4,714 patients receive life-saving renal replacement therapy at state expense.
The department noted that one patient undergoes hemodialysis three times a week, with the cost of one session being 6,500 soms.
Patients are included in the program based on medical indications. Applications are reviewed weekly by a specialized commission, with an average of 15 to 25 new applications. Moreover, for the past several years, there has been no waiting list for public hemodialysis.
After receiving the commission's decision, the patient is immediately added to the database and can receive hemodialysis at any medical center, subject to availability.
