Azerbaijan, July 13, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, July 13, the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum opened in Shusha, Azerbaijan, bringing together representatives of leading media outlets, international organizations, experts, and officials from 52 countries.

The forum is being held under the theme "The Mission of Media in Strengthening Peace: Restoring Truth and Trust." Participants will focus on the role of journalism in the context of digital transformation, the fight against disinformation, media literacy, the development of media diplomacy, and strengthening trust in the media.

Opening the forum, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev noted that many foreign guests are visiting Shusha for the first time and can see the changes that have taken place there.

"In the early years, they saw ruins, but now they see how everything is being rebuilt and developed," the head of state said.

According to him, holding the international media forum in Shusha will strengthen international dialogue and allow foreign journalists to witness firsthand the changes taking place in the region.

The forum will include panel sessions and thematic discussions on peacebuilding through media, countering disinformation, ethics in the age of artificial intelligence, and the development of international cooperation in the media.
