Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2026 /Kabar/. About 4,000 Kyrgyz citizens acurrently work in Slovakia, the Ministry of Education of Kyrgyzstan said following a meeting between Minister Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva and Slovakian Minister of Education, Research, Development, and Youth Tomas Drucker in Bratislava.
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in training qualified personnel, taking into account labor market needs.
The Ministry of Education noted that, given Slovakia's developed industrial sector, including the automotive industry and the presence of large international companies, exchanging experience in technical and vocational education is a promising area.
Particular attention was also paid to providing students with high-quality STEM education and developing a system for training specialists in demand in the labor market.
Following the meeting, the two countries' ministries signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in education.
