Bishkek, Nov.19, 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev participated in the business forum on the development of regional opportunities of Kyrgyzstan, held within the framework of the Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC).

The event was also attended by the President of the Asian Development Bank Masato Kanda.

Head of the Cabinet of Ministers noted that economic growth has been above 9% for the fourth consecutive year. In 10 months of 2025, the GDP growth rate amounted to 10%, and in 2024 the nominal GDP volume exceeded 1.5 trillion soms, which is 2 times higher than in 2021.

“According to the International Monetary Fund, in 2024 Kyrgyzstan entered the top 5 countries in the world in terms of real GDP growth rate. The main drivers of growth are the construction, industry and service sectors, the development of which is supported by domestic demand, investments and large-scale infrastructure initiatives. "The high level of economic activity is based on effective state measures aimed at modernizing the economy, improving the investment climate and competitive environment, as well as carrying out reforms in the field of public administration," he said, adding that large infrastructure projects also gave a significant boost to the economy.

Adylbek Kasymaliev reported that 159 thousand jobs were created in the first half of 2025, an increase of 2.9 times compared to the same period last year. In 10 months of 2025, the volume of investments in fixed assets increased by 18.9% compared to the same period last year.

According to him, increasing the effectiveness of economic policy and the stability of macroeconomic indicators have been noted by international rating agencies. This year, Kyrgyzstan's credit rating has been raised to the "B+" level.

Speaking about the major projects being implemented today, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers expressed gratitude to development partners, including Asian Development Bank and CAREC program, for their invaluable contribution to the country's development.

“We understand that current successes are the basis for the ambitious tasks set out in the recently adopted National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030. The main goal of the program is to increase the well-being of citizens. To this end, the state is building a people-oriented growth model, in which economic development directly improves the quality of life of the population,” he said, referring to the target areas and development vectors within the National Development Program.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasized that Kyrgyzstan’s strategic location between the largest markets in the region, its young population as the basis of the country’s labor potential, rich natural resources, unique cultural and natural heritage, liberal economy and strong political will to implement ambitious projects open up new opportunities for investment and business development.

“I would like to note that the leopard is recognized as the national symbol of Kyrgyzstan, and as our President noted, Kyrgyzstan, as a dynamically developing and open country to the world, will become the leopard of Central Asia. In the ancient Kyrgyz culture, the leopard symbolized greatness, nobility, courage, bravery, and stability. We invite you to become partners with Central Asian leopard. “Let us build a dynamic, stable, and prosperous future together,” concluded Adylbek Kasymaliev.
