Bishkek, Jan. 23, 2026 / Kabar/. Kyrgyz Republic recorded a significant increase in the number of foreign citizens entering the country in 2025, according to the Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It is noted that the incoming flow in 2025 increased by 18.6% compared to 2024 and by 20% compared to 2023. The agency emphasizes that this growth indicates a sharp increase in interest in Kyrgyzstan as a destination for tourism, travel, and business.
The number of foreign citizens entering Kyrgyzstan was:
2023 – 17,480,097 people;
2024 – 17,682,929 people (an increase of 1.2%);
2025 - 20,978,965 people (+18.6% compared to 2024).
In 2025, a total of 37,050,223 people crossed the Kyrgyz Republic's border, of which:
18,574,022 people entered the country;
18,476,201 people left the country.
In addition, 3,260,642 vehicles crossed the state border, with 1,690,357 entering, confirming the high mobility of tourists and participants in international transportation.
At the same time, the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security strictly enforced border and migration legislation. In 2025, 28,593 people with invalid documents were identified, of which 28,006 were denied entry. 2,031 citizens were deported for violating residence regulations.
"The increase in the number of foreign citizens confirms Kyrgyzstan's strengthening position as an open, safe, and attractive country for tourism and business, as well as its growing role in regional and international processes," the statement says.
