Bishkek, Aug 6, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan is today an active participant in the strategic processes that are shaping the future of the entire Eurasian continent. Russian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Sergei Vakunov stated speaking at the "Primakov Readings" expert session held as part of the Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum in Issyk-Kul.

The ambassador noted that it is in Central Asia that the most significant changes are taking place today.

"Central Asia witnessing the processes that will determine the future of the entire Eurasian continent are manifesting themselves most clearly today." "This includes strengthening regional cooperation, updating the transport and logistics map, the emergence of new centers of economic activity, and strengthening the region's international political potential," Vakunov said.

He emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is at the center of these processes, making it especially important that the discussion of the region's future is taking place here, with the participation of politicians, scientists, government officials, and experts from Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
