Bishkek, Sept. 18, 2026 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev met with the UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic, Antje Grawe, on the occasion of the completion of her mission in the country, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of the Kyrgyz Republic's interaction with the United Nations system, as well as prospects for further cooperation.
Adylbek Kasymaliev noted the important role of the UN system in implementing the Kyrgyz Republic's socioeconomic development priorities and expressed gratitude for the constructive cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN system.
He noted a significant event that occurred this year: for the first time in history, Kyrgyzstan was elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.
The meeting also focused on the implementation of joint projects and programs aimed at sustainable development, improving the well-being of the population, developing human potential, and strengthening the country's institutional capacity.
UN Resident Coordinator in the Kyrgyz Republic Antje Grawe noted that her tenure in the country coincided with large-scale reforms, transformations, and achievements. She expressed gratitude for the fruitful cooperation with the UN system, which has resulted in the implementation of a number of joint initiatives in priority areas, support for ongoing reforms in the country, and assistance in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Following the meeting, the parties emphasized their interest in further strengthening their partnership and implementing joint initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, Adylbek Kasymaliev presented Antje Grawe with a Certificate of Honor from the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic for her personal contribution to strengthening the partnership between the UN system and the Kyrgyz Republic, high professionalism, and fruitful interaction with the country's government agencies.
