Bishkek, April 8, 2026. /Kabar/. Asian Wrestling Championship continues in Bishkek.
According to the State Agency for Physical Education and Sports, today, on April 8, on the third day of the competition, women's wrestling matches will begin, where medals will be played in the weight categories of 50, 55, 59, 68 and 76 kg.
The following wrestlers will take to the mat on behalf of the national team of Kyrgyzstan:
Aruuke Kadyrbek kyzy - up to 55 kg;
Sezim Zhumanazarova - up to 59 kg;
Meerim Zhumanazarova - up to 68 kg;
Aiperi Medet kyzy — up to 76 kg,
The representative of Kyrgyzstan in the weight category up to 50 kg will not participate.
Preliminary matches will begin at 11:30.
It is worth noting that the Asian Wrestling Championship is currently being held in Bishkek. The strongest wrestlers of Asia are participating in the competition, competing in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling.
In total, 30 sets of medals are being played among about 350 wrestlers.
