A meeting was held at the “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC (ASCO), a company under “AZCON Holding,” with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), AZERTAG reported.
During the meeting, the delegation was provided with detailed information about the organization’s business needs, priority directions of activity, and its medium- and long-term development programs.
The sides discussed measures put in place to form a modern, efficient, and sustainable fleet that responds to contemporary challenges. They held an exchange of views on planned projects related to green shipping, decarbonization, and the application of digital solutions.
Representatives of the Asian Development Bank highly appreciated ASCO’s strategic development goals and stated that they are ready to support projects to be implemented in this direction and to expand cooperation.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the “Witness of Three Centuries” museum operating in ASCO’s administrative building, where they familiarized themselves with Azerbaijan’s shipping history and rich maritime heritage.
