Bishkek, May 22, 2026 /Kabar/. The Asian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship will be held on May 23-26 at Yashtyk arena in Bishkek, Melis Tobokelov, Director of the Directorate for Olympic Sports, at press conference held at in Kabar agency.
According to him, about 200 gymnasts from 19 countries will participate in the championship.
"At present, athletes have arrived, settled in hotels and are training. All conditions have been created by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports. We are ready to hold the Asian Championship. Events will begin tomorrow," he noted.
As you know, the competition is being held for the 21st time among juniors and the 17th time among seniors, and the best athletes from a number of Asian countries will participate in it.
Among them are Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Mongolia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Laos, Tajikistan and other countries.
It should be noted that the peculiarity of this competition is the qualifying stage, which provides a ticket to the Asian Games and the World Championship.
