Bishkek, Oct. 22, 2026 /Kabar/. In the period from January to August 2026, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Kyrgyzstan reached 55,079 soms, increase of 28.7% compared to the same period in 2025.
It is clarified that the average monthly nominal accrued salary represents the mean remuneration for employees in the formal sector of the economy. This figure is calculated based on official statistical data submitted by legal entities, regardless of their type of economic activity, form of ownership, or source of funding.
"Data on the number of employees and accrued wages are collected and processed using a unified methodology, ensuring comparability across different types of economic activity, regions, and time periods," the statement reads.
It is noted that when calculating average salary figures by region, the presence of certain large or unique enterprises within a given area can have a significant impact. As current legislation does not provide for the exclusion of the influence of individual enterprises on regional statistics, the National Statistical Committee applies a consistent methodological approach to all business entities, without exception.
Every year in November, a survey of enterprises and organizations is conducted to analyze the distribution of employees, specifically those who worked a full month, according to their salary levels. The methodology for calculating the average wage in Kyrgyzstan is consistent with the practice used in CIS countries.
