Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2025. /Kabar/. Kamchybek Tashiev, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, ordered the full completion of the Balykchy-Bokonbaevo-Karakol highway by the end of 2027.
According to him, the 141-kilometer section of the Balykchy-Barskoon highway should be completed by August 31, 2026. Barskoon-Karakol section, in turn, is scheduled for completion by the end of 2027.
"The road must be 100% complete. Minister of Transport and Communications Absattar Syrgabayev will bear personal responsibility for the progress and quality of the construction work," the head of the State Committee for National Security emphasized.
As a reminder, construction of the Balykchy-Bokonbaevo-Karakol highway began in July 2021. However, despite the established deadlines and allocated funds, construction work on the site remains unfinished.
