Bishkek, Dec. 5, 2025. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry aims to increase the level of agricultural processing to 25% by 2030.
The ministry reported that, as part of this goal, it plans to create 385 processing facilities across the country. Based on an analysis of the state of crop and livestock production, the Batken oblast plans to create 8 trade and logistics centers (TLCs) and 29 processing facilities.
The new capacities will be aimed at reducing agricultural product losses, improving storage conditions, and developing processing. The planned areas include processing vegetables, fruits, grapes, milk, meat, wool, and rice, taking into account the climatic and geographical features of the region:
Leilek region – 2 TLCs and 6 enterprises;
Batken region – 2 TLCs and 8 enterprises;
Kadamjay region – 4 TLCs and 15 enterprises.
These activities cover all districts and rural municipalities of the region. The regions' specialization by agricultural crop types has been taken into account, ensuring the newly established enterprises have stable raw material base. This is expected to reduce agricultural product losses, create additional jobs, and improve the competitiveness of the agro-industrial complex.
These activities will be implemented jointly with local authorities and are aimed at strengthening the agro-industrial potential of Batken oblast and stimulating regional economic growth.
The Ministry invites domestic entrepreneurs and potential investors to collaborate on the planned projects, which open up new opportunities for the development of processing and agribusiness in the region.
