Bishkek, Sept. 3, 2026. /Kabar/. The national national cuisine competition "Taste of Nomads" (Kochmöndör daamy) was held as part of the cultural program of the 6th World Nomad Games.
According to the press service of the Batken oblast governor, the region presented 60 types of national dishes at the competition.
The competition aims to preserve, popularize, and develop the national cuisine of nomadic peoples.
The dishes presented by the Batken region reflect the centuries-old food culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the region's residents. Each dish is prepared using distinctive cooking methods, local ingredients, and traditional know-how passed down from generation to generation.
