Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2026. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev and UK Minister of State for Defense Vernon Cocker discussed attracting British expertise and investment to implement major infrastructure projects in the energy and logistics sectors in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyz-British cooperation, noting their interest in further developing bilateral contacts and reciprocal visits at the highest and highest levels.
Special attention was paid to prospects for cooperation in the field of critical minerals.
Jeenbek Kulubaev also briefed the British side of the practical work being carried out to prevent possible sanctions circumvention and emphasized the importance of communicating up-to-date information to the UK leadership.
Furthermore, the parties discussed issues of international and regional security, including the situation in Afghanistan, and confirmed their interest in working together within the UN Security Council.
