Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2026 /Kabar/. First Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Imanaliev met with scientific and technical delegation from Urumqi, China, led by Deputy Mayor of Urumqi Shen Lin.
According to the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, during the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of friendly relations between Bishkek and Urumqi. Particular attention was paid to cooperation in science, modern technology, and artificial intelligence.
The parties expressed interest in developing practical cooperation, exchanging experiences, and implementing joint initiatives in these areas. In this regard, the Bishkek side was invited to visit Urumqi for further discussions on cooperation prospects.
Education and youth exchanges were also discussed. The Bishkek side expressed gratitude for the high level of organization of the recent visit of the Bishkek youth delegation to Urumqi. The meeting participants noted the importance of continuing such exchanges and strengthening direct ties between the youth of the two cities.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their willingness to continue interaction and develop cooperation between Bishkek and Urumqi in areas of mutual interest.
