Bishkek, July 15, 2026. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of Kyrgyz Republic held a meeting dedicated to the development of the wool production and processing industry.
The meeting was attended by Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
The discussion included entrepreneurs working in the wool processing industry, representatives of processing plants, and representatives of ministry departments and government agencies.
During the meeting, they discussed the current state of the industry, existing challenges, and development prospects. Particular attention was paid to improving product quality, attracting investment, expanding export potential, and government support measures for producers.
Industry representatives made proposals for increasing production volumes, efficiently using raw materials, and enhancing product competitiveness.
Following the meeting, they agreed on the implementation of a number of measures aimed at further developing the wool processing industry, taking into account the participants' proposals.
