Bishkek, Sept. 11, 2026 /Kabar/. Photographs of Bishkek are being showcased at an international exhibition in Cheongju, South Korea, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.

The "2026 Cheongju Sister and Friendship Cities Photo Exhibition"—featuring sister cities and partner cities—is currently taking place in Cheongju, with Bishkek participating, the report said.

The exhibition includes 26 photographs from 13 cities across seven countries: Kyrgyzstan, the USA, Japan, China, Russia, Vietnam, and Poland. The works introduce visitors to the landscapes, culture, festivals, and daily lives of the residents of the participating cities.

Bishkek is represented by two photographs submitted by the City Hall: "The Children of Nariste" and "A Sky of Remembrance."

The exhibition opened in September at the Heungdeok District Office and will run until October 30, rotating through the four district administrations of Cheongju.
