Bishkek, Nov. 27, 2025./Kabar/. Bishkek Mayor's office held working meeting with a delegation from Henan Province (People's Republic of China), including representatives of Henan Water Construction Group and affiliated organizations.
The delegation was led by Chang Zheng, Henan Province Ambassador for Cooperation with Central Asian Countries and member of the Zhengzhou City Council.
The talks were chaired by Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, Deputy Mayor of Bishkek and Director of the Department of Fuel and Energy, with the participation of representatives of relevant municipal services involved in relevant areas of urban development.
During the talks, the parties discussed expanding cooperation between Bishkek and Henan Province in the following key areas:
* exploring the possibility of establishing sister city relations between Bishkek and Zhengzhou;
* cooperation in hydraulic engineering, including the development of facilities related to power generation;
* well drilling and the use of modern technologies to improve the reliability of the capital's water supply;
* implementation of modern water metering and monitoring systems, including the installation of water meters and specialized measuring equipment for the Bishkekvodokanal Municipal Enterprise;
* training and professional development for municipal specialists at relevant institutions in Henan Province in the areas of urban management, water resources, and utilities technologies.
Following the meeting, the parties noted their mutual interest in further developing practical cooperation, exchanging experiences, and developing specific technical and organizational solutions.
