Bishkek, Aug. 20, 2026 /Kabar/. On August 19, 2026, an environmental campaign to plant 70 hibiscus bushes took place in Bishkek's Kyrgyzstan-Korea Friendship Park, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
The event was attended by Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Kim Kwang-jae, young volunteers from Gyeonggi Province, Republic of Korea, representatives of the Kaya KJI public charity foundation, and members of the Youth Advisory Council under the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism, and Youth Affairs of the Bishkek City Hall.
In his speech, Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev noted that such initiatives strengthen the friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Korea.
"Today, we are not simply planting bushes, but also creating another symbol of friendship between our peoples. "Cooperation in the areas of ecology, climate change, and urban improvement is of particular importance to us. I thank the young people for their participation in this initiative, and I am confident that such good initiatives will continue," the Bishkek mayor emphasized.
