Bishkek, July 15, 2026. /Kabar/. Today, July 15, the official launch ceremony of the "Digital Border" mobile app took place in Bishkek. The app was developed to digitalize border processes, improve the accessibility of public services, transparency of procedures, and security at the state border.

Representatives of government agencies, international organizations, partner structures, and the media participated in the launch ceremony.

The mobile app allows Kyrgyz and foreign citizens to receive up-to-date information on border crossing rules and procedures, checkpoint operations, and digital services available.

One of the app's key features is a pre-check for temporary travel restrictions outside of Kyrgyzstan. The new service will allow citizens to obtain the necessary information in advance, avoid difficulties at border control, and plan their trips more confidently.

The event was organized by the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic jointly with the State Institution "Ukuk" and United Nations agencies.

The initiative was implemented as part of the joint UN Peacebuilding Fund project "Strengthening the Capacity of Institutions and Border Communities of Kyrgyzstan to Enhance Cooperation with Uzbekistan."
