Bishkek, Sept. 21, 2026 /Kabar/. As part of a working visit to the city of Changsha, China, Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev visited the municipal solid waste processing and electricity generation complex operated by Hunan Junxin Environmental Protection Co., Ltd, the Bishkek Mayor’s Office reported.
The Bishkek delegation was received by the company's Chairman of the Board, Dai Daoguo.
Company representatives conducted a tour and provided the guests with a detailed overview of the waste processing technological cycle, the environmental monitoring system, and the electricity generation process.
The complex has a processing capacity exceeding 10,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day.
The special attention is paid to modern emission treatment technologies, automated control of production processes, and safe waste disposal. "The visit to the facility is of practical importance for the preparations for the second phase of the waste processing complex in Bishkek, which is also being implemented by Junxin. The plant's first phase is designed to process 1,000 tons of waste per day. Upon completion of the second phase, the complex's total capacity will reach 3,000 tons per day," the statement reads.
Following the visit, the parties discussed the possibility of applying Changsha's experience to the further development of the waste processing and eco-friendly electricity generation system in Bishkek.
