Bishkek, July 3, 2026 /Kabar/. In order to improve air quality in the capital and preserve green spaces, 18 new water wells will be dug.
According to the Ministry of Construction, their design documents have now been fully prepared by the Bishkek main architecture office.
"These works have been implemented as part of the "Green Belt" project since 2026. The prepared documents are the main reference for determining the locations of the wells and starting construction," the report says.
As noted, the new wells will be used exclusively for watering green areas and trees. This will not strain the city's general water supply system and will ensure a continuous supply of water to the gardens even during the summer heat.
